Eight of us Parkran (a verb?) this week; mainly at Montacute House.
Grahame had been particularly keen to run again here to see how much he had improved since last competing the course in December. The answer was that he had improved quite a lot.............2 minutes 23 seconds to be precise.........fantastic PB Grahame.
Joan topped this week's percentages. Very impressive.
I headed off to Woking Parkrun for a bit of tourist-ing! Out trumped by a tourist from Australia, I restrained from shouting that I was from Somerset at the briefing. My 112 miles and 5.30am start felt impressive until the Ozzie told us where he was from. Woking PR is three laps of a very suburban Surrey park, with a few muddy puddles in a wooded area. Very friendly people and perfect weather conditions.

In the absence of locating any actual Parkrun running photos, I have included one at Canterbury Cathedral where I tracked down (stalked?) The Tandem Men.
George & John are two very impressive young men who, on Saturday, rode their way into the Guinness Book of World Records by completing a 18,000 mile circum-navigation on a tandem in 290 days, 8 hours and 35 minutes. I have become friends with their mums. We have a connection! Part of a weird support network of mums of adventurous cyclists. A point to note though - Ed started his trip the day before Mother's day, and these guys arrived back the day before Mother's Day........
