Not surprisingly three out of the five venues this weekend were on the Coast to take advantage of the fine weather. Roxane and Nick went to Weymouth and enjoyed a dip in the sea afterwards. Nick set a new PB by 2 seconds on his 3rd appearance at Weymouth. Dave G ran at Burnham with Sally while Paul went to Exmouth for his first run. Paul had a fine run and topped our table a head of Richard G who recorded yet another PB at Street. Brian did the parkrun double at Street of volunteer and runner as he was the tail walker. I also did the double at Montacute, as I volunteered as a parking Marshal. I think the hot weather actually kept the numbers down as there were plenty of spaces for parking. Unfortunately one of the runners at Montacute turned her ankle on the run and had to be taken to Hospital, despite JD hearing a loud crack it turned out to be only a sprain. It was a real hot one and I noticed my shoe lace had worked loose at the bottom of the hill so I needed to stop and tie it up. I have to admit to then walking the hill!
Roxane has found a new parkrun venue taking place at Bridport St. Mary’s field. A 119 turned up for their first run on Saturday.
