We had 13 runners and walkers this week at 6 different venues enjoying the late winter sunshine! Over at Yeovil Kyle had a super run to finish 3rd with a new PB, his recent speed work is definitely paying off. Dave German achieved his fastest time this year 39:25 and was 1st in his age cat. Grahame also took advantage of a fine day and a flat course to record a quick time. Amanda ran with her Daughter Sam who recorded her junior milestone of 10 runs. Maggie also had a nippy run and got an age grade score of 60%.
The Nortons were down Devon for the super scenic parkrun at Plymvalley near Plymouth. Kate ran the first couple of miles with her Cousin before picking up the pace. I had a steady one to save the legs for Sunday’s race but still managed a course PB. James did his usual of jogging around and a sprint finish. If you are down this way of a weekend it is well worth a visit!
The other Mr & Mrs of the Club Nick and Roxane had a close call for bragging rights, as Nick beat his other half by 0.07% on their trip to Weymouth. Both Paul and Cathy recorded a PB each at Shepton Mallet.
Just the two at Street this week Dave had a steady one and James was the volunteer tail walker.
Nicky had a quick run at Taunton and recorded an age grade score of 70% which was only good enough for 2nd place this week as Kyle hit a percentage score of over 71.5%. Well done to both of you.
Haldon Forrest parkrun in Devon had their first run this week and Adam Holland took first place.
This Saturday Yeovil park run is reaching its 250th event and hopefully Dave will be there to reach his 150th parkrun all being well. Runner are asked to wear green for which is the colour of the 250 t/shirt.
