Yet another cracking Saturday morning greeted us this weekend for those 11 Langport Runners who turned up for a parkrun at 3 locations in Somerset. I was running at Street with my son, who was not feeling 100% this week, so we were a little of our best.  However, he was still able to provide a storming sprint finish to beat me by 4 seconds.  I am going to have start the finishing straight a lot earlier next time.  The course at Street is starting to develop large cracks, we could do with some rain!  Dave had a steady run and Colin had a good run and finished 2nd in our table this week.

Over at Longrun Meadow Wendy produced a course PB knocking a whole minute of her previous best course time. Dave G has now chalked up 128 parkruns which is the same number as Colin one more than Nick and 10 fewer than Roxane.

Over at Montacute Tracey produced a PB performance knocking 23 seconds off her PB. Liz produced the goods and toped the table with graded score of a fraction under 70%.

Up and coming milestones

Liz is now only 4 away from her milestone 100 t-shirt.  My next parkrun will be my 50th but that won’t be for a few weeks, as we have the Langport Runners taking over the volunteering s at Street next week.  If you can volunteer please let the team at Street know.  I then have some Saturday races following that, so I am looking at either 11th or 18th August at Montacute  (there will be cake).
