Montacute Parkrun kicked off with their, now traditional, nod to The Red Arrows on Yeovilton Air Day. On her 95th run, Liz celebrated her birthday here and was top lady in this week's table. Sue, Colin, Amanda Bigger, Steve Small and Mike, with son James, also ran here. No PBs at Montacute or, in fact, at the other of the three venues in this report. Just hazarding a guess, but I'm thinking the heat may have something to do with this???!!

The temperature was definitely a factor at Southampton's Netley Park. I ran this course once last winter when we ran through the woods. Unfortunately, the summer course turned out to only be partially in these woods. The open parkland had little shade. Scorching!

John ran Street Parkrun for the first time, with a great time/percentage, 6thb place and top in his age category; Tracey top in her age category too; with Karen and Dave Westerman also choosing Street. A reminder that Langport Runners have the opportunity to take over Street Parkrun on Sat 21st July and fill all the volunteer roles. It will be a good way to promote The Battle of Sedgmoor 10k. Please let Steve know if you are available to volunteer on the 21st. Either contact Steve direct or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Dave G was down at Longrun Meadow, for his 33rd time, helping to celebrate their 250th run. Lots of brave fancy dress constumes in the high temperatures.
