Well what a weekend we have just had! Hotter than Honolulu we were told by the Race Director at Montacute, where myself and 12 other LR decided to enjoy the morning sunshine along with a former member of LR Colin Evans who reached his 100th parkrun milestone and supplied a wonderful cake for us all to enjoy. Colin recorded a time of 22:59.
Unsurprisingly only one PB was recorded this week, (It was a tad warm) so well done Tamsyn who knocked nearly a minute off her PB. Although Hazel came close to her PB and of course the ever-reliable performer Kyle finished 3rd overall with a very impressive time. I didn’t fancy the heat for a hard run after Yeovil Marathon last weekend so I just enjoyed the morning run and Colin’s cake.
Our park run tourists were Roxane and Nick who became the first LR to run at Lydney in a small field of 78 runners.
